After people pass their prime language learning time which is
from year 0 to 14, it can be difficult and tough to learn a new language.
Learning at this time requires a different set of skills and mindset. It's also
a challenging task for teachers to employ different ways and methods to make
learning effective and enjoyable.
As the founder and the teacher at MSL Master, April Zhang, holds
this belief. She believes that adults learning Mandarin
can be fun, interesting and fast.
In order to achieve that, April wrote an entire Chinese
learning curriculum which covers speaking, listening, reading and writing. The
students are her best guide. With their feedback and suggestions, April shaped Mandarin Express
series and Chinese Reading and Writing series to their today's look.
April is always on the way of fine tuning her teaching methods
to adapt to different students with different learning style.
The reality has demonstrated that ‘repeat after me three times’ approach
is not the most efficient. The best way of learning Mandarin relies on
deliberate practice, practice and more practice.
April Zhang also knows that learning path is beyond
classrooms. That's the reason behind her Learning Mandarin Podcast, stories and jokes,
and downloadable audio lessons.
