Chinese Learning Pen User Guide

Getting started

  • Make sure your Chinese Learning Pen is charged.

  • Long press the power button to turn it on.

  • Touch the front cover of your Chinese Reading and Writing book to activate the audio output for that book.

After using the Pen

  • Long press the power button. Release the button when you hear the turning-off music. The power light then goes off.

  • When the Pen is left untouched for ten minutes, it will turn off automatically.

Caution

  • Treat your Chinese Learning Pen with care.

  • Keep it dry, dust-free, away from water, magnets, and high temperature.

Power

  • Chinese Learning Pen has a rechargeable lithium battery. To charge your Pen, connect it to a computer using the USB cable provided.

  • The power light will be on while charging, and will go off when the battery is fully charged.

Preparation Chapter

  • Touch “a stroke” to hear the name of that stroke.

  • Touch “a Chinese character” to hear that character.

  • Touch “a word/combination” to hear that word/combination.

Lesson 1 - 5

  • Touch “a Chinese character” to hear that character.

  • Touch “a word/combination” to hear that word/combination.

  • Touch “an index number” to hear all the sentence(s) for that number.

  • Touch “Conversation” to hear that conversation in full.

  • In a Conversation, touch “a person’s name” to hear all the line(s) spoken by this person, including this person’s name.

  • Touch “。 !  ?” at the end of a sentence to hear that sentence in full.

Review 1

  • Touch “a Chinese character” to hear that character.

  • Touch “an index number” to hear all the sentences for that number.

  • Touch “Exercise 2” to hear that narration in full.

  • Touch “。 !  ?” at the end of a sentence to hear that sentence in full.

Throughout the book
